Pipercross Panel Airfilter Review

Featured Replies

I have just come back from a test drive after my pipercross panel airfilter. My car had an old standard paper thing backed with foam and obviously couldn't breathe properly.

Anyway, the car now feels alive. Midrange is ten times better than it was, whenever you are driving on the turbo it feels so much better. My wifes verdict ' its too fast now, it scared me'.

I think that said it all. :P

Free plug too as it was a bargin from Awsome GTi.

still awaiting one to be made for a 2.0fsi :(

Mine's waiting at the post office depot for me to pick up tomorrow morning. Hmm...should I fit it outside the PO for the drive to work? :D

Remeber to take your screwdriver if you plan on fitting it;)

I couldn't fit mine, had to get a garage to do it.

Seriously doesn't fit the airbox that well.

In all honesty it really did take 2 minutes to fit.

no vrs is a totally different one, mine is a round one not a flat panel filter.

Not quite sure if this is allowed, but I am looking for a filter for my tfsi.

If you have it for sale still, I'd appreciate a PM with a delivered price ;)

Thanks

Ah, bit different to a flat panel then!!

I bought a Pipercross panel filter ages ago and subsequently took it out after hearing rumours that foam filters can allow larger dust particles to pass into the MAF. In addition, the filter is supposed to be used dry on the VAG engines.

I think I'll try it again but using the lubricant that comes supplied with it.

In all honesty it really did take 2 minutes to fit.

I couldn't get the air box back on and I'm not a weak guy...

I fitted mine in less than 5 mins with no problems at all
