Without much persuasion after using my own vehicle over the past few months, my other half has just ordered a new Fabia2 1.4tdi 80 in Lemon yellow & with optional cruise.

She was very pleased with the demo model and even more surprised in the rather expanded price difference between that of her dad's new VW Golf, which he took delivery of only a couple of weeks ago, which was a 1.6fsi petrol (i believe). Pretty much all the same refinements in both cars, albeit steering wheel audio controls & electric rear windows in said Golf.

Some £3.5k difference in her favour & with her Fabia being Diesel too, her father is somewhat 'gagging' to see what he's missed out on, in buying the Czech name!!

Vehicle has been purchased through Sparshatt's of Fareham and from Barry Lane, a salesman with very good sound knowledge and NO sales bulls**t ! Great guy to deal with.

Now only 7 weeks and counting.............

Sounds good , I'd like to see some pics of it , I think Sprint Yellow will suit the new Fabia.

Thanks for replies guys - Girlfriend lives up north and was really pleased with the advice & help from Barry.

I'm under strict orders 'not' to view the car when it arrives after it's arrival, so to make up for her having to wait til it arrives, i've just brought her a yellow model to display on her mantlepiece in the mean time.

I note the thumbnail i added with original post is that of the Fabia3, but was only pic i could find of new Fabia in yellow - so no side strips and the Fabia2 alloys, which in my opinion are an easier option to keep clean.
