Hello!

After a close shave with a BMW 118d which was ordered and then cancelled due to a price rise AFTER taking the order, I have today ordered a new Octy vRS TDI!

vRS TDI 170 Hatch

Race Blue

18" Zeniths

Xenons

Dual Zone Climate

Jumbobox

Cruise Control

Maxidot

Rain Sensors /Light Assist

Rear Parking Aid!

Anything I should have missed off / added on?

Car drove fantastic when I took a demo out, and compared to the equivalent A3 was 10 grand cheaper!! Bit of a no-brainer in the end really, hope the dealer lives up to the recommendation I was given!

Looks like you've got the spec pretty well covered.

If you enjoy your vRS half as much as I am enjoying mine you will be well pleased!

Checkout the forums for issues with cars arriving without light assist so that you can avoid the issue yourself. Its about dealers ticking the wrong box and not actually ordering it (although they can be retro fitted if you have the rain sensors).

Welcome to the forums and I have to say "well done" for not letting BMW extract the urine on the price rise! (I thought an order with a deposit was a legally binding contract which ensured the price was fixed).

Think you might want to add a MFD2 Satnav, most of us here have! ;)

Oh, and if Stu runs the GB again, you might want to consider the Bluetooth kit :P

Apart from that, I think you have it covered :D

Welcome!

Very impressive list of extras there.

Bluetooth retrofit looks excellent but a little too involved for me! Don't like pulling new cars apart and I'm useless with electrics!

Welcome to Briskoda!

Good choice of car and correct choice of options, exactly the same as mine except that;-

I have eyes and a brain so can work out for myself when to put the lights and wipers on or off; so don't need the rain sensor/light assist BUT

Heated Seats are soooooo comfortable and worth spending your money on instead!!

LOL :D

When I left home this morning to go to work, I was yet again amazed at how many people drive in the dark without any lights on.

Obviously not everyone has eyes or brains engaged first thing in the morning

Welcome. Excellent looking spec that. I'm loving mine, and the MDF2 upgrade could be my next upgrade, funds depending. Have fun.

phew i have to say the bmw 1 series is one of my least liked cars i think you made a good move:thumbup:

can you afford the leather? £1400 i think but looks dam good

I'm coming from an A4 Cabriolet and have had enough of leather and having to look after it, cream leather that is.

The 2-tone in the vRS looks fine to me! I didn't see heated seats on the option list anyway? Would have thought that bluetooth would be offered by the factory, it looks the same system that I tried in an A3 last week.

Hope the dealer (Mitchells Cheshire Oaks) lives up to its reputation.

I really like the two tone leather/suede/mesh of the vRS seats.

As for heated seats; agreed they are not on the option list but they can be ordered; your dealer should be able to find the right 'option code' to put on your order.

Alternatively, do a search for 'heated seats' on here as there are a couple of threads to be found with all the info.

Sounds about right, I was quoted 3rd week of Nov for delivery

If it helps, mine was built second week in October - ready for collection Tues, 6 November.
