would people suggest K&N or pipercross?

I'd say there pretty much of a muchness. I've never heard of people having problems fitting K&N, and the advantage of the Pipercross is it doesn't require oiling after washing....

Chris

Avoid any correspondence with Edworthys Online Ltd, shocking service, just my opinion though from personal bad experiences.

as mentioned stick with site sponsors

At least two kittens were brutally murdered in the making of this thread :(

There a plenty of people with the three main aftermarket filter types on here - K&N, Pipercross and Green. As Chris has said, they're all pretty much the same (have a search on here for the few differences) and the Briskoda site partners are probably going to be your best sources for price and service so again just do a bit of reading and make your choice.

Expect to pay around £35 for a Pipercross filter and a little more for K&N and Green.

GREEN £35 direct from Green (Waxacar)

Also worth looking at the Seat Ibiza PD160 air intake pipe and intake trumpet, but these have just gone up from IRO £45 to over £70 for the pair.

so are people suggesting the panel over the induction kit then?

On the vRS, for now, yes.

  • 3 months later...

As someone said above, Edworthys must be one of the WORST companies I have every dealt with. They take your money, don't send the goods, and promise you a refund. Months later you MIGHT if you are lucky get something back. AVOID !

Hi

I have tried the Pipercross induction kit on my car and gained 4 bhp

But I did have the PD160 intake on with the Pipercross panel filter

I have had the Pipercross on my car for a while now and my gain was 4MPG  as I do high mileage

The Pipercross we do for £28.00 + VAT

The K&N one we do for £36.74 + VAT

Postage would be £4.00 + VAT

The PD160 is a must too ;)

the

the bmc cold air inductionkit is the dogs, but then again it is £259.99:eek:

Got the Pipercross from Awesome. No complaints about filter or service - both good.
