Vrs remapped??

Featured Replies

hi there. just wandered if theres anyway of telling if my vrs has been chipped/remapped?

my dad drove it the other day and he seems to think it pulls too well to be standard and hes used to driving high powred cars (currently 310bhp T5)

i have tried a g-tech pro and got 0-60 in 8.4 secs? been told this is an accurate piece of equipment and that standard a vrs will do it in 9.3?

thx,

Mark

I would say 8.4 sounds about right if it was remapped i would take a second of that:thumbup:

Mine does it in 7.3:D

I'd say 8.4 is possible in a standard car

the quoted time is very conservative IMO

I've raced a 1.8 Astra coupe (0-60 8.5 seconds) on a private airstrip and beat him by quite a bit

Yeah VAG groups always quote conservative figures.

Id say your car is probably fairly standard!

Phone your insurance company and ask how much extra it would cost if you'd had a remap. Then decide if you know if your car has had a remap or not... ;)
