As i'm new to the Skoda scene, i'm just wonderin if there any things i should look for when buying an Octavia. If there are any problems i should look for, or any things that are a bonus?? I shall be lookin at the 1.8T 150bhp models.

As you are going for the turbo model, service history is very important so make sure its upto date.

Check the clutch pedal functions correctly and is smooth in operation.

Make sure everything electrical works.

Can any1 else think of anything??? Just that i wanna make sure i get a Minter!!

Assuming its used & from a Dealer

Get them to change the Coil Packs to the newest type.

Ask for the Clutch Master Cylinder to be changed for the lastest type.

Both of these parts are known to fail quite often, but the new parts will solve the problems :)

well i ain't got a clue who your talkin about!! But high mile's is not on the buy list!! Want a low mileage beast!!

Was well cared for but did have a terribly hard life.

Is it just me, or does the first part of that statement cacnel out the second part ? :D
