dripping on my foot!

Featured Replies

Hi

I'm sure someone else has this problem! When it is raining I get a drip on my left foot on the driver's side in my Fun.Strangely enough in my old felicia I got the same problem.Has anyone any thoughts on curing it?

Probably the windscreen rubber seal, common fault on Felicia - Forman - Fun.

Here's a thread on the topic:

Some Felly owners have succeeded fixing it with some kind of silicone sealant. Otherwise it's the glazier and a new rubber seal. I got a new one this summer, cost me £40 (and worth every p) but I don't know if UK prices are similar.

Only unusual part of your question is that the leak is on the driver's side, seems as if passenger side is the most common. Have you checked the passsenger footwell? Wet carpet?

You will need a new windscreen rubber seal.Put your hand up under the dashboard both sides and you will feel the sponge soundproofing will be wet!

Wear some wellies.

dripping on yer foot....................sounds like a northern thing to me.

You can pick up small tubes of silicone sealant clear/black intended for automotive use at motorfactors and screwfix stock it too. A suggestion I have seen on one instruction is to try gently holding back the rubber seal with some sort of implement and putting the sealant between the rubber seal and the surfaces it mates with to create a water tight seal.

remove the plastic scuttle panel and you will most probably find the tape has come off from one of the blanking holes. while you have the panel off seal around the screen between rubberand glass and rubber and body . my fun is now dry
