Heater temp

Featured Replies

Hi all

had a strange thing this weekend.

Normally the heat from the blowers is really warm all the time but when pushing the car on a motorway drive I had to have it turned right up to get any heat.

Also all of a sudden the temp dropped right at the top to cold and the onboard computer beeped and showed a symbol - a snowflake I think.

I was a bit worried as I had a similar problem in a car years ago & the engine died shortly after

can anyone explain what this could be

after a few mins the heat came back up.

Ive checked the cooling fluid & its normal.

Thats the ICE warning, it should indicate that the external temp has hit below +4.5°c . Where do you live? Do you have it on Recirc or flow through?

Hi thanks for that,

I live in the NE but was traveling back from Glasgow at about 8pm

doing a steady 60 -70 mph & it wasnt that cold but maybe it was

it was flow through.

If you were posting about a Fabia, I'd say the external temp sensor and/or the evaporator temp sensor were on the blink. As it's a Roomster, though, it's presumably still under warranty so I'd be inclined just to take it back to the garage and tell them to fix it...
