• When checking gearbox oil level on 6speed gearbox you will need
  
• 16mm splined bit (tamperproof) GSFcarparts.com p/n 98714D
  
• Skoda gearbox oil P/n G052726A2 £9.39 for 1 litre

I used a funnel and some pipe as its awkward to top up

nice one mate - I'd just add if I may:

- open the filler plug before you open the drain plug - that way if it's seized solid you're not stuck with a car without any oil in the gearbox!!!!

-Also in an idea world you'd have a torque wrench and possibly some new metal washers (if you totally obssesive of course!)
