Cheap FMIC

Featured Replies

Ok now bear with me on this before you all call me a tight ar*e :D

Is there any OEM intercooler with the inlet and outlet on both side like it needs to be for the octy?

Only reason i ask is that i Forge etc item is about £800 and is good for an IHI or another BT conversion

All i need is something that will be good enough for remapped octy as i doubt that i will ever go for a BT unless i can get married and buy a house for about 100k

I know that the main problem will be physically mounting the thing but something stuck in the front bumper will be better than the standard item in its current location

Look at the special prices Awesome are doing on the Forge one,it's less than £600 and it's that hard to fit.

Oooh yes , we have a GB on at the moment

Check out our prices on them , it is £489.60 + VAT just now :D cracking piece of kit too

yeah I quite agree - the cores aren't special, hence the price - it's a case of what you mentioned at the start - although it's not as good as it could be, if it's sufficient for what you need plus a little bit, then that's good enough for a very cheap price. The beauty of the Octy is there's a lot of free space to mount a cooler that's much too big for a lot of uses, so the cooler doesn't need to be particularly efficient in terms of it's performance versus space used.

However without any direct experience to draw on, you are going to be in a suck-it-and-see position I guess..

Or find an intercooler off something out there that already has a larger one as standard, I know the Vauxhall boys like the Frontera ones, should be a good fit in the Octy.

Why worry about it now. Its coming up to winter shortly. Save a few pennies over winter & buy one begining of spring:thumbup: Thats what my m8 told me:D

SEAT sport one on the tdi ibiza cupra has inlet and outlet on the same side.

no idea on price though
