I have an 02 Comfort with 6sp manual box. The car has been incredible. No faults or failures in 97k miles. On a gentle run I got 50 mpg at 90 on a motorway it gets around 42 mpg. I run it with a chip and in terms of performance not much comes close. The only gripe I would have is 1st gear which is just far to under geared to be of use.

I have just been forced into a Passat estate with a 130 PD engine which I took to 163 bhp with a remap. Performance is not in the same league and fuel economy is about 3-5 mpg better at best. For me there is no comparison. Go V6 every time, the engine impresses anyone who drives the car.

Sadly I have to sell the car and that is not easy...... Would be easier to sell almost anything else compared to this which is such a shame...

I've got a 03 1.8T Comfort Superb. Ex police and now has 87k on the clock. Had it since July and wouldn't dream of changing it for something else. I had a big jump, coming from a 1.0 Seat Arosa.

It could do with a little bit more power, which a remap will solve i think. The interior is pretty sturdy, but the police have done some damage and I'm currently working my way through replacing interior bits lol. I also have an annoying squeak coming from under the steering wheel, which only appears ealry morning and after 6pm. Its weird!

Love it though!
