The porter cable makes an amazing difference but you won't notice it properly unless you look carefully at what it's like now (mine was covered in swirl marks and tiny scratches). Now I've not seen a swirl in sight

The steps we took were:

Wash, polish (with PC), wipe over with microfibre cloth and detailing spray, apply speed gloss, go over with PC and buffer pad, re-wipe down again with cloth and spray, applied wax and finished off with wiping away the wax. Really worth all those hours of labour the car has never looked so shiny.

I use detailing clay too, that gets the grit, and crap out of the swirls beforepolishing, amazing stuff if used properly.

I was going to make some rear flaps, have you done the same or modded from another model, there not available are they

Ive modded my bumper to make them fit.

Looks tidy if done ok, just ensure that you keep them on, because if not it looks tatty.

yes i supplied my own but alex insisted on dealer plates with the hortons bit on,swapped when i got home.i got some new passat flaps which i have offered up they will fit fairly easy.

Yeah, IIRC, the golf mk4 or 5 ones fit too.

It's a big thumbs up! Nice car! I love the color coded grille& wanna have it done on my car too. Yesterday I took my grille apart it's easy but the 2 retaining clips on back of badge are very fragile. I've easily broken them:( Only 2 of 4 pins left leave my badge moving freely up and down. It's not too bad but it's my shame being uncautious.
