hmmh - I'd also be interested in this, seeing as I've had mine for 6 months now.

Gliptone Liquid Leather Gentle Cleaner Spray - 600ml

All the gliptone products are very good for leather. Used some of the above on my dads volvo and they came up like new

Plus cleanyourcar are exellent on service and delivery times. I have used them in the past and found them to be spot on.

also might be worth looking into a good leather feed to keep the leather soft and prevent cracking.

Again gliptone do a very good feed

Gliptone Liquid Leather Conditioner

I just use simple leather cleaning wipes from Hallford's, and it does the job. I've done 3 time salready, looks good.;)

yea i need some decent stuff too...I rarely have passengers in my car and in contrast to the passenger and back seats....the driver side is quite worn and shiny from daily wear.... :(

I can recommend Poorboy's Leather stuff. Cleans, feeds and protects the leather:

Poorboy's Leather Stuff

Excellent stuff, and smells great too

cloth with a touch of bleach ;)

don't try it

I use auto glym leather cleaner and leather food once cleaned leather needs to be fed after you take some of the oils out via cleaning!

That's why I like the Poorboy's as it does both - cleaning and nourishing. And it's actually a two-in-one product that works :D

Has brought cracking leather back nicely, when I've used it in the past. And periodic applications then keeps it in good nick

I agree. Used this on all my cars and had no problems with the leather changing shades etc. Good stuff.

wasent their that cheap tesco spray stuff for the leather seats to clean them?

Another vote for gliptone cleaner and feed.

My old colour concept recaros were 14 years old when I got rid of my golf and they didn't have a single crack on them....just cleaned and nourished 1 or 2 times a year....

I'm planning on buying some gliptone cleaner and conditioner as it seems to have the most recomendations on here and detailing world. just a quick question specific to the vrs leather.

does the gliptone change the shade or make it shiny and slick?

I picked up some megs leather wipes while browsing garage the other day planning on quickly cleaning of some dirt. make them all slick and black and shiny. :-( horrible! Any suggestions on how to get rid of this? water, apc, mf and bit of elbow do the trick?

I went to my local Sadelry shop, (Heather Lewin sadelry, St.Ives, cambs). She often gets people in owning classic Jags etc wanting to proserving and restore there leather seats. So i've got a tub of "Connolly Hide Care" which does a superb job. Costs about £10, which is less that a lot of stuff targeted at us as car owners.

i use supaguard on mine every so often they come out quite nice

Ditto here. Works a treat! :)

Save yourself some Green Queens and use Johnson's Baby Wipes.

Seriously, these as good as, if not better, than products costing exponentially more.

Not only that, but they are 'as mild as pure water to skin and eyes'.

Also work well on babies too, apparently.

Gliptone for me. Cleaner is excellent (no water required), conditioner keeps the leather supple and leaves a really authentic leather-aroma.
