hey,

i picked up my red vrs on friday from my local skoda dealer (elmside garage, v. nice people) just started playing around with it as i was bored.

i fitted a lg head unit as the orginal was broke, one with the aux and bluetooth interface on it.

an no i have painted my wheels, and replaced the crappy areil*sp* with another slightly less crappy one...

next on the list is the seat? front splitter and the st2000 areil*sp* everyones fitting, and its going in for tinting on thursday,

lets us know your opnions, thanks!

I like the black wheels..... :)

Looks good mate.

Boredom is a very dangerous state of mind.

What did you paint the wheels with?

Hammerite?

Get some miles under your belt instead of fannying about with a perfectly good car.

Thats not nice!

Someones ideas of nice, are not others....

I'd know that!

I like it!

Needs some lowering action though

like the rims lol . as for the other mods they sound fair enough. the front splitter i havent really seen much of only a few pics imagine looks better for real. as for tinting i think it works well against the red like black alloys do. would agree with lowering if thats your thing but if your looking for the 40mm area youll have to think of a metal sump guard iirc. as for the s2000 ariel thats somthing i am interested in ive not seen any pics of one fitted yet. am interested to see what it looks like. good luck with the modding

Car looks good darker wheels suit the red VRS.

Mind you the same effect can be achieved by daily driving and braking with normal wheels, at least you wont have too clean them as often. :D

I like the black wheels, it changes the look of the car

****

reminds me of my furby 16v :o

red on black is the best combination

totally agree on that one mate, rd and black really suits the car, one of my friends who is a focus owner is going down the red and black route and it looks good.

thanks for the positive replies, obviously someone got out on bet on the wrong side though ;) lol.

the wheels are painted with halfords metallic heat paint and laquer, for no other reason other than it comes out the right colour and its tough paint.

and i dont know what to do on the lowering side, maybe just a tad at the front as they arnt to keen on speed bumps and kurbs as it is! im gonna pop down the skoda dealer in a min and get a new rear badge ordered up, and the mudflaps.

thanks again! jay.

I like the wheels... pure stealth....

Considering getting some black wheels for my black furby vrs... these perhaps?

The get the windows tinted, paint the v grille black and the headlamps....

little stealth bomber! but might be too much?

i like grey/black wheels, but i have to have oem or vag wheels, not really a fan of after market wheels myself. but its individuality, and whatever you

I was thinking RS4 replica's or octavia vrs rims in anthracite?

Yeah, id agree with the RS4's, ive just sold a set of them!

Im thinking of getting my wheels (Standard) painted a mid-light graphite....

Not quite as dark as yours though.

Anthacite looks really good IMO

they are not as dark as it looks in the pictures, really sparkly/metallic when the sun hits then too...they are a bit dark i suppose though, but i think lighter cars get away with it. cheers!

Im still considering Pure black for mine, laquered up too, for maximum shine, well at least it would hide the brake dust a bit...!

i really like that :)

a few friends have done darker wheels before but ive never seen a set of such a red car! shows what you can do with a bit of time and imagination!!

i woudl say get some tints to balance it out, but thats probably not the next thing to try when bored ;)
