Some silly questions.....

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

As i'm new to the vRS, i thought it was time to ask some daft things lol Sorry if they've been answered but i'm a bit of a numpty when it comes to this lol lol lol

Here we go......

1) Is there ANY point in a diesel dump valve?

2) Ideas regarding the intercooler i.e. move the original, more cold air or a front mount.

3) Exhausts......custom built or manufactured (milltek etc)

4) Does the Jabba ARB work or is lowering the car a better option?

Thanks for putting up with these questions peeps. All advice greatly appreaciated!!!

Cheers

1 - No

2 - FMIC

3 - A straight through pipe would not be too noisey

4 - Both

HTH :)

lol so pretty much what eceryone has said then lol would there be any gains in replacing the back box with a free flow option?

very little on their own.

so is it best just to leave the system as is in its standard form? Any other ideas to turn her into a real street sleeper?

You could try steel wheels :)

A nice cat back wouldnt hurt :)

don't really agree that the exhaust is a great deal noisier if its straight through , Jasons seemed quite reasonable when i was behind him on last years Ring trip

Yup IMO, other than fit the suspension and braking mods there isn't a whole lot more you can do without spending even more serious money.

Save the rest for a rainy day - more kids, holidays, treating your wife ..................

lol the wife gets enough lol (hope she dont see this lol) I'm gonna try the millers stuff too. What kind of braking mods? drilled disks or bigger? best ones to go for? If i fit bigger ones, how much extra work will i need to do to make em fit?

start with suspension and handleing. so get jabba rarb and think of lowering it - remembering the sump guard issue. exhausts theirs a few blueflame one that comes to mind and miltek iirc. as for performance aswell i would say the seat pd160 air intake is a must

Honest, I'd despair - sort of if you weren't so daft / funny.

Search on here for 312mm (Audi TT) brake upgrade, Jabba ARB, Eibach lowering etc.

And then search for Talex - afore your license disappears ultra quick :P
