Hello / Dog cage dilemma - help needed

Featured Replies

Hello,

I am new to the forum, but not to the Octavia vrs - I previously owned the 180bhp hatch, but now have the new vrs estate.

I have a dilemma.......How do you fit a Giant Schnauzer into a vrs estate safely - bearing in mind a height of 27 1/2 inches to the shoulder - and a fitted cage is about £500, anybody got any good ideas ? ? ?

Thanks,

Mickey.

hi and welcome to briskoda...

can't help you there m8, unless...

you part exchange it for a wee yorkie... ;)

We used to carry 32Kg of male Dalmatian around in the back of ours - you can get a substantial metal dog guard to fit behind the rear head rests. It fits perfectly and is very secure - you can still use the toneau cover over the load area with it fitted.

Its not cheap from a dealer though so have a look on here and ebay first.

The universal dog guards available in Halfords etc. wont be good enough.

You could try looking for a cage on here they do allsorts of shapes and sizes including some with cut aways to allow for sloping rear windows.
