Ive saved £500 now and want to spend it on my Fabia VRS, but im not to sure wot to do next, i want somthing that i will notice, be it on the car or a performance mod,

At the min i have a tunning box on my car, i was thinking about taking it to jabba for a remap but think i will go after xmas when it starts to brighten up, because after the rain we have had at the minute all that happens is the car wheel spins so would be wasted power untill summer anyway,

I also have the seat front splitter, and a full custom exhaust system which has been decated, i recommend this to anyone thinking of doing it, it has a nice deep rumble and a deep noise when accelerating, and the extra 10-20 bhp is nice too

i was thinking of fitting R32 18inch alloys that are 235/40/18 but im unsure if they will fit properly or any problems from doing so

if you can reccomend anything would be great help,

Cheers Richard

Have you done anything in the suspension or brakes department?

Also, doubt you've got 10-20 from a decat exhaust. Sorry :)

Steve

Ditto about the exhaust and decat.

I would get the Jabba ARB and then save up for the remap.

ow i c , i head read some where on here that if ya decat your sytem you can get power gains up to 20bhp

The gains just aren't that high on a TDi unit. Benefit comes from allowing the turbo to spool a little better, as exhaust gasses are removed more effectively. So sometimes some more torque can be freed up by a custom tuner. Oh, and it sounds nicer :)

a while back I actually lost top end power with a milltek and race cat, quickly sorted with a tweak to the map but very surprising.

For your 500 quid I would get a set of eibach springs and a jabba ARB fitted, probably make you quicker point to point than a remap.

Lowering kit and ARB

Then save for big brakes...

then remap...

:iagree:

Sticking to your £500, I'd go with a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs (£130 plus fitting) and a Jabba rear ARB (£200-ish plus fitting but a pretty easy DIY). Or I'm sure I spotted a 2nd hand ARB in Classifieds the other day.

Steve

jabba rear arb is a must then get the 312mm upgrade that should be around 500 squid then save up for a jabba remap!

im leaning towards susspension, do you think i would be able to get the springs and the dampers from jabba fitted for under my budget

Give them a shout - see what's possible. I think the Eibach Pro-kit springs and dampers may come in around that mark, inc fitting.

Steve

any1 give me a little help on what the jabba arb is????

cheers:)

Ferry ticket to the continent, drive to the Nurburgring.Do laps of the legendary circuit until your £500 are spent.

Repeat on a regular basis.

is there massive benifits from this??

do you just buy it direct from jabba sport?

Goodness - it must be one of the most well documented mods available for the Fabia. The search tool is your friend :)

Steve

wish all these were fitted as standard lol

i tottaly agree with you there mate

i would suggest a good suspension set up get the little bits sorted i.e. intake panel filter suspension rear ARB and just keep building you way upto so your car is ready for the remap and can see the best gain and also your car will be able to handle the power

312mm brakes are a must best 200ish quid you will spend, mine are great, but then i havn't fitted my arb..........yet,and i will be making a final descision on eibach's and koni fsd's,or kw coilovers after the rolling road day when i have expierienced wardy's.:D

re-map definately, amazing difference!!! I am doing ARB next. 18s destroy the ride...do 17s at most!

A wildcard suggestion would be a day in the company of this man. Don Palmer: Car Control Courses

You'd be amazed how much difference modifying the driver can make to the performance of a car ... and transferable too ;)
