Rolling Road Day

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, I am trying to set up a Rolling Road day, it will take place at Evolve Automotive using there DYNO DYNAMICS RR in Luton, people will also have the opportunity to have there cars remapped and order performance parts etc.

The price per car is £40 per car

will be a weekend towards the end of November

Please put your name down below would be great to get a large group for this!

This is the new CustomCode place??

I read that on SCN Fez that they are in the process of setting up, I take it you saw that too. Maybe they'd be willing to do some discounts for CC Phase 2 ;) if you order on the day.

I wonder if they do power runs as opposed to static runs as we had at the last day. I may be up for this depending on what happens with my car between now and then.

The way the cars were run at Marlins is no different to any other RR day I have been to, be it JKM, PE or Surrey RR, they all run it the same way. Enigma

Always seems funny that when cars dont hit the figures their owners thought they would get, the rollers are rubbish, but if the over calculate, then they are great........LOL

Perhaps at Marlins when you book in and pay, they should issue the RR voucher, a burger voucher and a handkerchief for the tears..??????

I wasn't saying the rollers were rubbish and I was one of the people that blamed my results on the mapping. I've re-read what I wrote and can't see where you got that from

Anyway I'm not going to go into the details between a static run and a power run but they are different and the guy doing the runs at Marlin proved this by putting his Supra on at the end which was done the proper way as a power run and I wasn't the only one to see this. I believe you when you say that all the RR's you've been to have been the same, it's probably why they cut their prices in half when they do group buys as they don't spend the time setting all the cars up for power runs so therefore don't need to charge so much. I firmly go by the saying "it's a dyno lottery" and take all resiults with a pinch of salt, but still nice to get an idea of what the car's running. My car's going to superchips soon to see what it gets on their rollers and then having some work done so if all is good I'll come along to this one

but if the over calculate, then they are great........LOL

Rollers don't overcalculate, Gerry! They are all deadly accurate*

HTH :D

Chris

*Unless expected figures are not made....

Chris, how very true.................LOL

AvRS...Was not directed at you, as you can see from the wording, more of a jibe at certain owners from another make, who nearly burst into tears.........................LOL

Oh ok no probs Gerry. When speaking to the Marlin guys they did say there's one group in particular that moan more then others at the start and sure enough their prediction was true lol. Was a good day in all though so hopefully we'll have a few more like that, maybe even this one :D
