I ve just got myself a pd160 intake for my vrs along with a green thing panel filter.

What i ll do is get it booked in with my RR guy at Surrey RR, who i ve used lots of times before on many occasion and i will do a before and after plot and post it up, chances are it wont be till next Saturday so will try to sort it for then!

I wonder what the intake does to your insurance.

I guess, theoretically, it would have to be declared as a 'mod', and then they will bend you over and perform untold unmentionables. BUT remembering that the intake would be a VAG part, you would need to have a very switched on insurance engineer to pick up on it on inspection. Most insurance jobs are authorised over 'approved network' live camera feed, only occasionally would they go out to site. If you total your car, you might be in trouble though.... How quick does it take to swap it over?

soooo might be a tiny bit off topic :eek: BUT these carbon ones will they actually happen, especially as the inside will be smooth so no drag on the air coming in and they will look very attractive maybe start a list for people that would buy as i would !!
