Did my tyre pressures today, all four were at 21 psi and the ns two have worn the outsides out, dealer not got an air pump? deliberately set low?

I won't know for sure if it cures my pedal box problem till later, but I'm pretty sure it's unrelated.

Perhaps Skoda should change all their dealers into Arnold Clark one's, the gem in the Vx network

Over certain ruts and bumps it feels like it's bashing the bottom of my foot, almost like an engine mount is shot or the exhaust is banging the bulkhead causing a transfer, it doesn't do it on cobbles or speed humps and feels like it's a secondary vibration i.e the offending part has been thrown up and as it returns down it causes the feedback through the pedal, also if you hold your foot lightly against the brake pedal this seems to stop it.

Dealer says they've checked all mounts and suspension parts and they are all working to tollerance, if I didn't know better it feels like it originates from under the brake servo, neither the pedal box or servo seem loose though.

Dealer also won't come 3 miles down the road and hop on the £1 ferry so I can show them what is happening, they'd prefer to take £70 PH off me and tell me there's no fault for the fourth time.

The tyre pressures all being the same low pressure is too much of a coincidence for me, since I put 32 psi back in them the steering no longer feels like it's running out of assistance and she goes round the bends better, i'm wondering if the supplying dealer knew something and has stitched me up, when I called the previous owner of it to see if he had the radio code for the car, his 1st reply was " it's a nice car " this to me rang an alarm bell that he'd said it to side track me from some thing's he might know about the car, even though it's not his concern anyway because he's disposed of it anyway to the dealer, anyway I'm getting a full history check from within the motor trade some time this week, so we'll see if there's anything showing there hopefully.

My Superb was sold to me by a Skoda dealer (Rainworth) with a flat spare. It had never been on the road and was not punctured.

Although VAG have clearly been stupid bolting the spare wheel to the boot floor valve side down, the dealers are being totally dishonest in neglecting this vital point when they "service" the vehicles. It is clearly stated in the servicing schedule that all tyre pressures must be checked.

Tyres are one of the most safety critical parts of the vehicle.

Well, Skoda UK haven't given up on me yet, got another e.mail today.

Did some more testing and imo it's origination from the rear wheels, I know it's not the exhaust and the shocks look/bounce ok, though they do creak when I first use the car for the day getting in and out.

Anyone got an Automatic model here? could you do me a favour and see how much play you have in the brake pedal, also while holding the acc pedal down about an inch and using your hand to tap the side of the brake pedal nearest the centre console, can you feel a tapping through the acc pedal?

Did this in mine last night and there is side to side knocking of the brake pedal, did the samr test in my mates manual Octy and his pedals felt a whole lot more rigid than mine, do they have bushes up top still?

And anyone know which one of the pulley's on the aux drivebelt circuit is most prone to drying out and squeaking, I suspect the tensioner or alternator ones myself, I can't wait to dispose of this car, not because of the car, but the unhelpful attitude on the backup side of things, if I'm correct on this pedal fault, I suggested it 5 mths ago to the dealer, and got the old, they never go wrong attitude, that or they plain don't want to have to do the job of replacing it.

Had a chat with the service manager at the dealer I use today, I saw his position on how things were, they're not to my satisfaction but again I understand his position on it all, I got in a brand new Sup Elegance auto and did my test on it, I had to conclude it was no different to mine, Mike did offer to take it in again but at my expense if they found nothing wrong, I'm almost certain this fault is due to a partially worn component like a bush or shocker or spring even, it's disappointing this has happened and it looks like I will have to live with it for the time being, I love this car, almost as much as I loved the Omega, but in future I will be buying something else, we all blame the dealers but I think personally it's Skoda pinching the penny that is to blame, I feel bad that I thought the dealer didn't want to know, but having been informed by Skoda that they back the dealer opinion and will not assist unless the dealer can replicate the fault I have no other conclusion that Skoda are to blame here.

You will probably find the creaking is from the sh*tty rear brake disc setup the Superb uses, most of them creak with the handbrake on.

Find a flat piece of road (so it doesn't roll away!) take the handbrake off and try your bounce test again.
