today while at a local scrapies i was accosted by a man raving on about the alloys on my felie:confused:seems there off a golf mk3 cabriolet and are extremely rare BBS six spoke 4 studs he reckons there are only 250 sets in existence can anyone out there shed any light on this for me:)

does your car have a badge on the back and the sides that says laurin and klement?

there are much, much more than 250 sets around. but they're still vaguely rare. assuming of course they are the cabby ones which are sought after...

but if your car was a L&K model then its standard l&k alloys, again sought after but not as much i think

and i should ask if you've put them on or if they came on the car??

Definetly cabby ones i bought them from a neighbour who got new alloys for his motor paid £50 so sounds as if i got a bit of a bargain . they look the nuts on the felly so not thinking of selling or anything just curious:thumbup:

IIRC they are fitted to the colour concept cabriolets, god knows how many there were of them though. More than 250 i'd bet.

Highline ones look the same but are five stud.

...Not being funny, but does it really matter how many sets are left? Its impossible to know, and I dont think its something thats going to be possible to find out. They keep tabs on how many models of cars are manufactured etc and you can find out from the dvla how many are on our roads, but finding out how many sets of 1 type of wheel were made isnt going to be possible.

Yes, they are rare rims, but not that rare - and thats all anyone will confirm. Id imagine they would have been made in series production, meaning there will be several thousand sets of them about.
