Years ago 'my' mechanic used to espouse giving the car a good blast up and down the roads just prior to the annual Private-Hire MOT test - always helped clear out the crap and therefore the chances of the car passing the emissions.

My Octy is a lot quicker at the redline in top than it is at 3,000 in top

Both dervs deliver peak power @4000rpm so there is some fun to be had at the naughty end of the rev counter, the turbo lag is virtually non existant there too.
