Heated rear screen.........

Featured Replies

problem with heated rear screen, when the button is pressed the light comes on but the rear window doesn't clear, i've had it on for about 10 minutes with no effect.

the car is 2001 lauren & klement,

anyone got any ideas? i'll check the fuses tomorrow in daylight, will this fuse be located under the bonnet or in the car?

cheers for the help,

Shaun.

Mine is doing this on my Octy VRS.

Going to try and look at it over the weekend!

Can you hear a fairly distinct click when you push it? (may need the engine off but ignition on to hear it properly). If you're hearing this then it's probably one of the earthing points in the bootlid. Might have rattled loose if you slammed the boot a bit? I managed to wedge mine back in and secure it, and now I have a working demister. Was a relatively easy job. Removing and refitting the trim took longer than securing the earth point back. :)

checked the fuse that was fine.

i've just had the trim off, where abouts is it earthed?

cheers.

Mine had this problem when it was still under warranty (6 years ago now) and they ended up replacing the switch in the dash. No problems since.
