The Owner's Manual does state that 'Engines which need unleaded premium plus petrol 98 RON can also be run on unleaded regular petrol 95 RON. This does, however, result in a slight loss of performance.' The choice is yours.

Can you get a premium fuel (Shell V-power, BP 'Ultimate' or similar) readily?

If you can, are you bothered about losing 5bhp to save 5% or so on the price, for maybe 1% poorer fuel consumption? Those are the sorts of figures we're talking about on other makes.
