Hi everyone i`m new to this forum tho` I have read it from time to time and thought I should say hello . I think my vrs is a great value car and puts a smile on your face when you want it although it gives me frowns at the moment as it has some running problem that p me off . The only other car which i sometimes hanker after is a furby vrs as i have driven them , great car also . Maybe i will have one someday or even sooner i the car don`t fix ! . Back to scouring the forums

In answer to the question , when i accellarate with part throttle the turbo seems to spool up , then stop then spool up again causing uneven pickup .When you boot it there is no problem .Also a couple of times i`ve driven the car and there seems to be no turbo at all , restarting it removes the problem . There seems to be a lot of areas to investigate , looks like i`ve got a lot of checking to do this weekend .

check all the turbo pipes as you might have split one. If you can get a VagCom fault code as well that would help you find whats wrong.

Thanks ,I will be checking those , not got vagcom but am asking round for a lend of to help diagnosis . It`s a surprise how many sensors there are just to make it run.
