wax suggestions

Featured Replies

Wow, you guys must have some serious spare cash to be spending all that money on fancy designer waxes. What on earth is collinite and Swiss wax with PTFE for £80 squid ?????

Stuart

Want pricey??

Try THIS

I'm sure there are more expensive ones than this but I am too tired to go looking around on Google for them. :(

I'll raise your Swisswax Devine with a Zymol Royale!

Seriously though, the ones mentioned above aren't particularly expensive, in my mind anyway. 476 is around £15 a tub, Victoria Concourse around £20 - and a tub lasts ages.

I KNEW there was a 7ish grand wax out there somewhere :D

I bought a tub of 476 with 2 applicator sponges and 4 microfibre towels for £17.

Just arrived today, should be using it at the weekend

My old tin of 915 is still about 1/3 full and has been used loads.

I'm still contemplating the Swissvax Shield PTFE wax though, a teflon coated car must be a good thing.

i bought meguiars gold class liquid wax after reading some threads recommending it on here, just after i opened and used it, i saw threads about collinite etc popping up. cheers guys :(

I have a bottle of that in my Meguiars boot bag along with a bottle of Autoglym ultra deep shine polish, a tin of Collinite 915 and now a tin of Collinite 476s and that's just the tip of the iceberg and on top of that I'm a relative newbie to this game.

It all depends on what sort of results you are after really.

Ill take both and raise you to Zymol Solaris :D

yes the price is real as well

SOLARIS - Zymol Europe, Ltd.

Crazy,

I could wax my car with something more expensive than the car itself :pillepall

Mattbeef - I think you've won by a sizeable margin :clapclap:

For a liquid all in one polish/wax the zymol cleaner wax is actually pretty good and lasts a good time in my experience.

When I run out I'll be getting some 476 and a few other bits in a single order though.

Slightly off topic, but how much snow foam do people get through as I'm debating a 1L or a 5L and if not snow foam what do you use instead.

Colly is for the cash £££ the best wax you can buy!! I have 915,476s and i think I'm gonna buy 845 Liquid Insulator Carnauba Wax tomorrow! 915 makes my silver fab look awesome.........

I've also found 476 does wonders for alloys!I've found it to be even better than PB Wheel sealant.

Sorry forgot to add I have 1 litre of snowfoam but find I use Hyperwash more, Don't know why it's just a bit thicker and hangs onto the paint longer.

Im always a Citrus Was and Glass fan myself.

Works wonders in the foam lance as well as the bucket
