It took some getting used to at first!

very nice - looks great.

The headliner removal re-fit is the only thing that would put me off. Major jobbie - well done Syd!

I olnly moved the rear part, its not hard to do, just awkward to get the nut back on as it has a weird washer!

Hi Syd,

Hows the reception with the sharksfin fitted?

I've just fitted one to my Octy 2 but transferred all of the electronics over too from inside of the Beesting.

The reception is not too bad but is certainly not as good as the standard.

What do you think?

Pic is no longer available... could you post again?

Have only ever seen one of these fitted to a Golf MK5 on a '57 plate GT. In my opinion... yuggghh .

Its huge!!

As a word of warning. This OEM Shark Fin aerial weakens the radio reception by a great deal. Actually it weakens it so much that you'll be lucky to hear anything when driving on countryside.

If you wan't smaller antenna, use the OEM Sharan antenna (6.5cm) which you can swap by just pulling the old whip away and screwing this in it's place. This antenna has as strong radio reception as the original.
