Door Seals

Featured Replies

My wife's Fabia which we bought last year is coming up to the end of its 12 month warranty.

In that time it's had the door seals replaced twice, the second time soon after the first as they didn't do it properly :thumbdwn: The garage said it was a known fault and did it under warranty along with a faulty sensor.

I'm booking the car in for early december to make sure any faults are taken care of under the warranty and to get the seals done again

When my warranty runs out - Will I have to pay?

Will the work done on the seals come with a warranty, ie once done if they fail in the next 12 months, they'll do them again?

To be honest, you're not the first person whose repair has failed. You've not said whether the doors are leaking again after the second repair, but if it's going in to the garage anyway, it can't hurt to get them to check and quote for it (they probably won't do the repair under warranty if it's not actually leaking). If it's leaking but not covered by the warranty, or if youe want to carry out a 'pre-emptive strike', your best bet may be to do it yourself as it's not particularly difficult. Stu on here posted a pictorial guide on his website:

Hope this helps!

Seals are leaking - Rear window has lots of condensation in the morning.
