Hi to everyone,

I have recently purchased a 2001 black Octavia vRS (coming up to 3 weeks now).

My previus car, a Vectra SRi V6 was written off so I was forced to find a replacement.

I always wanted a vRS but there didn't seem to be any good low mileage ones around at a price I could afford, I was even looking at a Golf GTI 1.8T. Luckly though this nice low mileage (49K) one came up with full Skoda service history.

I am really pleased with it, faster and handles much better that the Vectra, quite surpise with how much torque it has.

I have already brough a cheap diagnostic cable off eBay to use with the shareware VAG-COM program as I had the engine fault light come on.

'Fordfan' advised me to clear the fault it to see if it comes back, it hasn't as yet!

you wouldnt happen to be a ex vvoc member would you?

seems its a popular choice to go from a vectra to a vrs octy. they do feel kinda similar somehow, although with more grin factor included

One of the scourges of Greek roads are abandoned motorcycles. Some they have suffered major damage and are not being repaired, some because owners have abandoned them because they no longer want them, other they are stolen, etc. The process to be removed from the from the State takes from 3 months to 3 years. Hi Everyone, I have been investigating how I can replace the decorative trim pieces on the console of the O4 (see attached picture (version I would like). The easy part has been figuring out the general part numbers, however I get stuck on the specifics. I know the O4 has two technical variants; one with stock leds and one with RGB leds, and that there is a multitude of different codes for all the different colours/textures. This might be just a coincidence. But I have just had a new windscreen fitted following a rock being thrown up by a lorry's wheels hitting it, which left a small chip, which after a few days became a long crack and was growing. The screen was replaced last week, and yesterday I discovered the seat was not responding to the controls. I cannot see any fuse listed in the owner's manual which states it supplies power to the seats. The driver's seat is working as usual, which made me think it must b

Hi all, I noticed a few forums posted over a decade ago, but unfortunately didn't seem to relate. I've got an issue where the cd auto changer had a fault. I pressed the eject button which spat the magazine out. I checked over the cds and everything seemed fine. After reseating the mag, the stereo no longer recognises the magazine, and says "no magazine". Since then I've tried to eject the mag, but had no luck. Has anyone had any issues with this? I removed the autochanger in the idea of fitt

Octy 2 1.4TSI ESTATE CAXA Quite uncertain where to enter this question. The keyfob#1 has started to cause serious problems with the car alarm system. So far keyfob#2 is working with no problem. Car alarm starting randomly and only disconnecting the battery helped. Yesterday the alarm kept sounding/flashing even when the engine was running - undrivable. Is there a home cure whereby I can remap/reset the key fob? My very helpful auto sparks is unable to help
