Octy VRS 11 or indeed Octy 11 - Any common faults upon delivery

Featured Replies

Taking delivery of my new vRS tomorow. Are they any common problems users/owners have found upon delivery

I have had a major issue already with my car but will divulge more once delivered.

Would you normally see a copy of the PDI - its been 3 years since my last car and I dont think I got one then? To complicate matters mine is a leased Co vehicle.

Thanks in advance

Chris.

Mine was specced with the auto lights but I wanted the coming/leaving home function disabled and the anti-hijack enabled at PDI. Neither was done! Also others have had their tyres over inflated - worth a check.....

Cheers John & noted. I havent spec'd those anyway. Being leased I am not sposed to liase direct with the stealer anyway.

Check, check and check again the paintwork. This has been the biggest issue with my new Octy II.

Don't check it in the dark or under the workshop lights-get it out in the open daylight.

Good luck and we look forward to your story about the problem you've had already!

You should get a copy of the PDI report plus a whole host of other forms, with your dealer going over the car with you, explaining servicing regime etc. and finally getting you to sign a handover certificate that you are happy with it.

Apart from the obvious of, has it got the correct options? and is the bodywork in perfect order?

.... experience of other briskodians suggests you should check the tyre pressures (they come out of the factory over inflated and need to be reset) at 2.0bar front and 2.1bar rear, and does the front of the car look as if it sits correctly? If it appears high you may still have the suspension packing blocks still in place (they should be removed as part of the PDI).

Good luck and enjoy.

Runboy, dont worry I will be checking the paintwork like a hawk as this has already been the problem.

It will be checked in both natural and artificial light;).

Must admit Im excited and nervious - feel like a school kid:O

Some people have had the transport wedges left in the suspension springs.

Make sure they've put in all the wheel bolts
