24K5 recall??

Featured Replies

just been in for a 10K service and the book has been stamped in the Workshop entries section with 24K5. Sounds like some type of recall.. Anyone know what it addressed?

Thanks

I found this reference to 24K 5 on a French site. The original post and the Google translation of it are below!

OK, thank you for your answer walt.

Autres choses : vos titines ont-elles faient l'objet d'un rappel code 24k5 ? Other things: your titines have faient subject to recall code 24k5? Apparemment il s'agit de flasher l'eprom ??? J'y suis allé ce matin mais pour rien car logiciel non au point. Apparently it is the flash eprom? I went this morning for nothing, but because software not developed. Mon concessionnaire à contacté SKODA FRANCE. My dealer contacted at SKODA FRANCE. Vielleicht sieht man sich mal beim These gabs still Audience update and action 24k5 (engine control unit) and negotiations for the purpose of rain sensor (Request for Skoda runs). Washed and sucked Oh, he auch.Vielleicht sees itself at the times

24K5 is the ECU update bulletin. Your ECU has been reflashed/updated.

It's not a recall it's a campaign and as Ian quite rightly says it's a ECU reflash.

You should have a sticker under the boot carpet too.

Would that take a custom remapped car back to the factory mapping?

In theory yes, in the same way flashing a PC bios wipes everything.

Yes it does.

Thanks Chaps..

Any specifics to what the update resolves?

Seems to have lost an annoying flatspot it had around 2200rpm

The bulletin isn't very specific on the reasons except that a fault may not have been indicated with the CEL.
