Sluggish X reg Fabia throttle query...

Featured Replies

Chatting to a friend of a friend on Friday who has a new-to-them-6-months-ago Fabia Estate X reg 1.4 16V and they said the car's great save for the sluggish response on the throttle to get it going from standstill.

Now I remember seeing this criticism in all the first off reviews for the Fabia, and wondered if this is something that they could take to a dealer to get adjusted? If so what might they need to tell the dealer to improve it? [No suggestions of buying devonutopia's spare engine please :) ]

Thanks for any info.

Hmm, nothing doing I suppose then? :grumpy:

My 1.4 16v has the same thing - very noticeable throttle lag due to the drive-by-wire system.

Think it's also something to do with complying with EU legislation for lower emissions?

I'd be interested to know if it can be "sorted" or not too...

i'm afraid there's nothingyou can do it all to do with european legislation for emissions

Come on K - where's the add on to make the 1.4 go faster? :)
