Dyno Dynamic RR Curve - Modified vRS

Featured Replies

Having now pretty much gone as far as I want to go (for the time being at least!) with modifications to my 2.0TFSI vRS, I stuck it on JKM's rolling road this afternoon and got 265.9bhp & 316ft/lbs :D Very happy with the results and the car goes like stink, power available right across the rev range along with bucket loads of torque from 2,500rpm right the way up to beyond 5,000rpm.

Anyway, curve below for anyone that is interested or wishes to comment ..............

Nice figures Steve. What are your current mods?

I got 238 bhp and 323 lb/ft last Saturday with my REVO stage 1. Only hardware mod is a Forge DV.

ECU kept backing off the revs high up for some reason. The RR operator told me it was due to fuel quality.

That's pretty impressive; but what have you done to get those figures? Surely quite a bit.

I've seen better curves on sporty spice, you know ...... the minger from wigan or wherever :D

It's time to "Be Happy" , p/ex for an Evo / STI / M3, or get a big assed Turbo fitted, custom pipework and all the rimmings to go with it.

What RR was that on?

I'm guessing that car was 'backing off' due to the common issue of 'fuel cut', widely regarded as the one failing of the TFSI power plant. I believe that there is a solution on it's way from the States where modified fuel pump internals can be assembled in the existing pump (not for the feint of heart by the sounfds of it!) which eliminates this problem. The only downside is that you will need a modified remap to make use of the benefits which REVO and others are currently working on.

definitely more to it - can't see a bloody thing!!!!

I don't know how to say it correct but paint it with your mouse and the text appears. ;)

HA HA. Thats quality, James Bond stylee :D

Good figures too. Bet it feels rapid on the road

nicely done steve but you need a bigger turbo :D

my car makes less torque but more power as it holds it longer but it also spools a tad later, mayber 3250 ish but going like a good'un until the red line

i can't wait till mines running right so i can get it on a RR and have a print out that does it justice :)

last time we were at JKM mine made about 280lbft but only 240bhp as teh fuelling went all to **** and the torque took a massive dive at 4500-500rpm :(

the man of the moment gave me a print out of the AFR and it was nice and steady up until it wentmad then it started to run very rich i think.

balls.

Try copy and pasteing Steve's sig. ;)

You have the word Octavia twice in your sig Steve - looks like a typo.

I can't wait for Revo Stage 3 it's gonna be INSANE. I think you'd be looking at well over 400bhp then!!

Curve is looking good Steve.

Hmmm 400bhp from a Stage 3 map may well be possible but a long way off atm, I'd be quite happy to see the magic 300bhp (genuine figures of course, not 'massaged') although I fail to see it being possible without replacing the turbo.

That said, I cant see myself going much further, I use this car as a family workhorse and for business as well as pleasure so that route is'nt really practicle.

Mine made 300bhp but on a sh*te RR. I don't believe it for a minute - more like 260bhp.

Thanks; got it worked out.

What I can't do is get my own signature to work (without fancy graphics/white lettering); I've entered my text in the signature box, checked the preview and saved changes; but get no signature. Do I need permission from the webmaster?

Well blow me down! Overnight my signature has miraculously appeared. Hooray! :D:thumbup:

What mods are you running now Harry?

Would be good to see you at our RR day in Februay, if your're passing by chance! ;)

Westward Engineering here in Ireland.

The car doesn't seem to suffer it on the road? Maybe its not apparent as I have a stock air intake?

I was neck and neck with a new REVO'd GTI on the motorway that put out 251 on the same rollers on the same day. Nothing between the two cars.
