Go to Butts website there is a diffuser specific to the RS with the exhaust cut out. The article comes complete with two "sausages" of black sticky gooe, degrease the paint work, trial line it up to get it all level (I then applied a fine marker pen round the edges) apply gooe from packets, stick in place, have gaffer tape handy to stick and support in place and leave for 24 hours. Glad you liked the car!

Hiya Lee

I take it you are the guy with the Fine example of a yellow Octavia. A couple of Qs if thats ok

1. What is Butts web address?

2. What size are those wheels? Very nice indeed..!!

3. What else have you done as it sounds great when pulling away out of the pits ???

Cheers Bud

JHM Butt & Co can be found here. If you download the relevant catalogue for your car (they are pdf files), the password to access it is spiderman.

Pardon the ignorance, but why is a stick-on piece of plastic referred to as a "diffuser". What does it "diffuse" exactly? :P

We would really need to stick one on the back of the taxi and follow it down the straight-away - hopefully it would diffuse the smoke and we could see where we were going!

Not quite an Octavia, but will this explanation of a diffuser do? Looks like it will only work on a WRC with its big rear wing.

Oh is that the idea? It disperses your exhaust fumes?

Leeboy - have to say it was the nicest looking octy there - very sweet!

It also looks 'pretty' and 'functional' and makes the rear of the car look 'different'. :D

I posted that before I had read the explanation in your previous post Denis. Interesting, but I can't help feeling that with the ground clearance and irregular contours of the underneath of normal saloon cars it probably isn't having a huge effect.

No me neither, I had it to alleviate the frumpy back end of the Octavia's wide and deep bumper moulding and relatively high tailgate.

You didn't like the black wheels Nick? Do you not like the colour or the style?

Lee

It's the colour - just silly prejudice I admit - I'm sure most people think they're oh so cooool
