Revo Code

Featured Replies

I had a good time on Saturday and it was nice to meet some of you. I got the Fabia vRS Revo'd while I was there. I VBOX'd it on Sunday night and got some fantastic results. Not sure what any of you guys have got but below is 3 runs with a problem during the 0-100 run so I would imagine more like 17 seconds (I ran out of time). The second actually has the same 0-60 and is on the return run on the same road.

I also got a load of photos of various cars on the track.

Cheers

Interesting ... I was expecting ... like 7.3 ... I was shocked... I do a lot of road tests and use the same road always... its the flattest I can find... and I do both ways... I can VBox any car if people wish.. if they are near me... in Hampshire... we like to collect data.

Vbox Info

It is a device used by many magazines and Top Gear etc to measure performance. It uses GPS and is very accurate. Thousands of pounds though but well worth it to be accurate. You can also do circuit mapping and it has very powerfull software. Can be set up on any car within 5 mins. Oh and it can also do pretty graphs.

Thats pretty darn quick. You are making me tempted to get my car done now!

Autocar managed to get 8.2 seconds on the standard car on a cold morning. It is way quicker though, 30-70 is really quick. When it was standard it was always a great car. The extra power now really makes a nice difference and it was really fun driving back from Bruntingthorpe. My normal car is a Leon Cupra R which has been revo'd. The girlfriend normally drives the Skoda but I think I will be taking it out far more than normal now.

How much did it set you back, if you dont mind me asking?

  • Author

Thanks for that. I chose the Skoda for the reason you say, because it does confuse people, the bloke in the Ford Focus who I destroyed at the lights certainly seemed quite confused :P

Nice website BTW, is it yours? Is there going to be a roadtest of the LCR and Fabia RS?

I run Fasthatchbacks.com and we also have Fastsaloons.com which is run by Neil. Then we have Autoroadtests.com which has just become live and are working on Fastrackdaycars.com.

There will be a detailed Skoda Fabia vRS road test and monthly update and the same for the Leon. Full of pics and stats etc.

We are currently working on the race cars and converting them to flash so soon the racing will be fantastic on the site.

Cheers and good luck with what you decide on doing to you car...

I've got a nomination for the fast trackday car one; Paul's RS. Fairly brisk :D

Rich is the Revo the only mod you have engine wise? What sort of power are you running?

180 bhp and 300lb ft I have not put it on the rolling road but it is safe to say it is at least that. My Leon got 271.1 on the rollers running Revo code so I would hope the Skoda would get at least what they quote. Feels like it does... it flys and is almost as fun as the Leon. I see you have a AMD. Have you ever done timed runs with it ? If you find yourself in Hampshire give me a shout and we can VBOX it for you.

Oh and the Skoda has nothing else done to it ... yet :-)
