Fabia Vrs on the rolling road.

Featured Replies

I'm taking our Fabia on a rolling road, and just need to ask a querie before I stick it on.

When I stick it on will I need to turn the ASR off?

Also I have heard that the ASR light stays on after a rolling road something to do with the traction control is this normal?

Hope you can help.

Davy and Hannah

They will know what to do.

They will reset the ABS after to.

When you say reset ABS, what do you mean by that.

Cheers

Davy

Its the ABS light that will be on after the session, as the front wheels have been spinning, but not the rears. The light will go off after a short period of driving on the road :)

Ah got you now mate, so it is wise to say to take it for a spin after the session then till the light goes out.

It will just go off of its own accord on your way home :)

Let us know your figures when you've done it mate

Davy

I'd say about 125 ish is about right.

Are they calculating the wheel horse power for you or just the fly?

Steve

The fabia's are known for having higher than stated BHP, one guy had 143BHP out of his and it was completely standard!

Good luck with it tho, and get those graphs on here asap!

I had heard their were higher as well, I think it is at the wheels that it is tested.

Davy

Well fingers crossed for good reading davy

Sory mate, it's Dastek in Dalgety Bay in fife.

Cheers

Davy

I had mine done on a set of Dastek rollers at Westec in Newport, All i have done is the pd160 air intake and a cotton green filter and she pulled 142bhp and 252ft/lbs thats with 40k miles on the clock. I will warn you though it will make you number hungry!! I think you should be in for a suprise :)

Edited because i added an extra horsey :P

Luke

We risk entering the eternal RR number discussion zone here, but that sounds like quite a bit more torque than expected, from just those mods...

24lb/ft more from just panel and intake, even with a healthy example :rubchin:

Does it count that it was recently serviced? I guess not, Thats the figues that were printed a number of other cars where bang on the money though bhp and torque wise. But i also think its a little out. I have two photo's of the graphs i can upload if you'd like to take a look but thats what the rollers say, What do you think a fair estimation would be of actual torque? Im happy with how she goes just wanted to put some numbers to how it feels and the local car club had a RR day.

Luke

Could just have been a quirk of the rollers, if they had a decent setup for the Fab, TDIs in general etc

Could just be overcalculating a little, on the run back down...

Stock torque is 228, so maybe 5-10 more could be expected with panel and filter?

Steve

Well it made the fabia look impressive torque wise compared to the other cars

when mine went on a RR for a remap - standard it turned out 138 bhp - now running 173bhp and 450NMish :D good figures m8
