Featured Replies

Hello everyone , by my question you will see i am a newbie and newbie to Skoda. We have had our Octavia 2.0 140bhp dsg Elegance on 55 plate .I have posted on another thread about a ticking noise from the dash area simular to a second hand on a clock, some of you guys had a possible answer but up to now its not what has been said.would appreciate if this section has an answer.Lastly what mark is ours? as this has been our first Skoda i was not aware of the mark sequence.Have been looking at the water into the boot and whilst when washing it down with the pressure washer it does flow off but so far nothing in the boot so has there been a change?.

Yours is normally referred to as a Mk2 - this style was introduced at some point in 2004. The Mk1 was the version from about 98 onwards

Technically it's at least a Mk3 as there was an Octavia in the 60s (and possibly others) , but that doesn't get mentioned much.

Or sometimes as the A5.

I would think your problem is the well documented issue with the Aircon. There is a software update which can be performed on the control unit and in extreme cases the motors may be replaced.
