Talk of torque

Featured Replies

hi again...

ok, who can help me decipher this... i'll admit to not being the sharpest knife in the drawer, so i just keep getting mixed up.

Main reason, is i'm telling people that this car has loads more torque than my old GTi and is only 8bhp less, they then ask what torque is! at which i um and 'err and then say "the pull"...

found this link but it makes no plain english sense to me:

Try reading THIS LINK to the guide on SeatCupra.net.

Uses analogies that should allow you to understand. :)

A brilliant article which has now been added to our web links for ease of access and reference.

there speaks the voice of diesel reason......

I understand Diesels are banned from the Indy 500 because it was unfair on the other entrants, aparently the higher mpg gave them an unfair advantage !!.

They development as aircraft engines has 'stalled' too since whilst they would give excellent mpg on the ground taxying, they haven't got what it takes to get aircraft airborne!
