1.9TDI Power Loss after long journys till car stoped n started again

Featured Replies

How do you do a throttle body alignment on a 110tdi which doesn't have a throttle body? It has an anti-shudder valve which looks a bit like one, but that comes into operation when turning the engine off. When running, it's open fully.

Matt has VAGCom. What he doesn't have is a logged fault code from a down on power TDi110.

He's tried cleaning the manifolds, replaced various sensors, and I imagine doing a throttle body alignment.

I sometimes wonder if my anti-shudder valve sticks in the closed position after stopping the engine. After an 1hr20 drive from work to home, I stop for fuel and then the car can be very hesitant to start (I wonder if the valve is stuck in the closed position....) - I hang on the key for maybe 5-6 seconds before it catches.
