I scanned my mates Octavia as it turns over and don't start.

Can anybody give me a hint of what to change, I can't seem to find much info on 17655 just that it is "Needle Lift Sensor Circ. Open/Short to B+".

Are they the injectors ? and if so have all failed as it does not start at all.

Complete stab in the dark (with a severe lack of knowledge), It's not just the fuel cut-off switch is it?

I don't even know if the Octavia has one, or where it is... but might be worth looking into.

It's on No. 3 injector, follow its cable to a plug, disconnect it and measure its resistance, should be 80 to 120 ohms, if out of spec (+20 ohms for a warm engine) the book says replce it. If this is faulty it should cause a running problem, I would start off investigating the 17946. Could this be an X relay (relay 109) problem?
