very very nice mate how much did u pay for the wheels

£500 for five with tyres

As nice as they are, nothing will tear me away from my evolos. But this has made me think that when the time comes for a refurb, dark anthracite might be the way to go. :)

i would deffo do that if the car was black, but on silver i think it make it look like one big black mass.

might do it silver same as car

All Silver would be to much I recon. Look for pics of Jabba Luke's front end, looks much better with a black grill surround and may be a little bit prototype

Look good though :)

Shaun

nope, but on the box it says 35 or 40mm i cant remember, we all know cars never lower as much as stated though

all eibachs are -40mm based on a standard Fabia not VRS

as the VRS sits 15mm lower than a normal Fabia this kit will lower a VRS -25mm or a standard 40mm over OEM

yeah i guessed about 25mm

very nice mate. and the wife says she likes the look of your house too

Still nursing a semi:D

Ive gotta give it to ya.

One of the nicest fabias ive ever seen.

Suttle and sweet.

Looks A1 that - like it a lot

There's a feeler for my Spiders in 'For Sale', if anyone fancies taking them and getting them done in anthracite :)

Steve

The Anthracite really suit the Silver. Looks great!

I have a spare set of Octy 17's that I might change colour of but more of a grey rather than anthracide.

Do you have spacers on those Octy 17's? They seem to stick out much more than when I had Octy 17's on mine.

I thought that about spacers actually, but IMO it's the colour of the wheel that does it. Seems to give the design more definition, and the appearance of sitting further out than they actually are.

no spacers, was thinking about 20mm on the rears though

Just to point out, you said 40mm? Ive got 25mm spring on mine and they look the same height. Are you sure there 40mm?

It does look lower than mine which has the -25mm Eibachs fitted. Slightly different angle but it certainly looks lower

VAG's looks lower than yours at the front...

probably weigh'ed down with dirt lol

Personally i think its the camera angle, your shot is below the car where as VAG's is above so looks lower

  • Author

yeah i think its cam angle too

Car looks great, I almost wish I had bought a silver one....

Looking good steve :)

Those wheels look smart as - does need lowering more though, thought about my 75mm drop ;)

i like to keep it looking quite subtle so not really after a massive drop :D

besides i wouldnt be able to get over my drive :(

Does the drive alter at all changing up to 17" wheels?

This has probably been discussed before but after driving my car for 3 years and fancying a wheel change i'm not sure I want to alter the 'feel' at all.

Not many aftermarket 16's around that I like, maybe apart from the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 but then I like the black with the silver rim, but not sure about the black on a black car. Pretty much why i've stuck with the vRS wheels, too many variables to think about I just end up looking at wheels on websites till my head feels like it's going to implode.

you may notice bumps in the road more but thats mainly down to fitting 40 profile tyres rather than the wheel size, grip is slightly improved
