I'm Dave, a "veteran" Octavia owner, having bought my first GLX TDI shortly after the Octavia's UK debut in 1998. After 115,000 happy miles I "donated" it to my son and bought a new '54 reg "New Octavia" TDI Ambiente in September 2004. What a superb car!! A vast improvement on the old one, which wasn't bad anyway! I have now covered 41,000 virtually trouble - free miles and am looking forward to a long and happy relationship with the car ...... I'm not one to change my vehicle frequently.
