Cool, anyone know if these things can be done with the VW system?

I added anti-hijack and a 4th sweep of the wipers after using the washers.

Its when you go over 10mph

Yep, use the guide above - it's spot on

There's a few other things I've done, but they're all covered in the guide above.

wasnt far off....!

Dont get the beep when you lock the doors its proper prat material!

My friend had a yellow vrs with the beeping, wot a **** he looked

the antihijak seems a good idea only drawback ive ever thought is what happens if you crash and your trapped? hows anyone on the scence going to get you out? say there was a fire?

Thats what i think anyway

Disagree and agree. I think it is usefull. For Example > when parking in a multistorey and i have forgotten which level i parked on i just unlock and lock and follow the beeps. Also it annoys the neighbours and lets the local scroats know that the car is alarmed.:)

Antihijack is good but not in a crash situation as quoted above , although i have it turned on.

Absolutely perfect then.

anti hijack is disabled in the event of an accident:rolleyes:

I was fairly sure the doors unlocked in the event of a crash?

Steve

anti hijack is disabled in the event of an accident:rolleyes:

well in that instance i suppose it would be okay then, thats considering it works!

still dont like the beeping, maybe okay if you have any colour apart from yellow, yellow and flashy beeping = no go

If the doors don't unlock, they're not deadlocked so can be opened from inside the car. If the power is cut (battery disconnected), I believe all the doors unlock anyway....

Agree on the beeping though - very pretentious ;)

Chris

I had the beeping added but got it taken off a few months after as it got right on my t**s! The anti hijack is good, especially if you drive in cities and the other half drives the car and likes to leave their handbag on the passenger seat- so many get nicked at traffic lights!

Same as others - I've the beep and the hi-jack on. Beep is good as it helps me remember if I've locked the car or not.

I have an elegance with red marker lights in the front doors, all wiring, bulbs and fuse in place but they don't work. Can they be activated from vag-com?

hmm, strange thought that was a standard item?

Red marker lights worked fine on my Elegance - are you sure the bulbs haven't blown?

Chris

What kind of a beep are we talking? Is it like the horn or more of a pip?

A fairly high pitched 'plip' :)

I have it set on lock; as others have said, handy to make sure the car's locked properly...

So is that about all that can be done?

Just wondering if there was anything else?

Did you have a look at the link Chris supplied in post 5?
