312mm kits on e-bay

Featured Replies

Steve did tell me he had some more coming in.

Man thoses prices have gone up in the last year or so!!!

I guess supply and demand :D

You're not wrong! I remember what I paid for the kit in 2005, for my first vRS :)

Like you say - there's no shortage of buyers, plus brand new kits are sure to be dwindling in numbers, as the next generation of cars that used this setup have moved to 5x112.

Still great value though and allows me to use standard 16-inch wheels and tyres (and carry a proper spare!!). I've already ordered from him.

£50 postage? A tad dear. I think you could do the kit for £100 off that easy.

The package weighs just short of 30Kg, so perhaps not surprising. Could be worth catching him over on Mkivs.net though ;)

Steve

Oh, im not buying any but it certainly humps the price up!

I know, I can see you already have some :D

Might help other people out though...

Well, for what its worth the Mintex brake boxes are £70 for the disks and pads. Couple that with some calipers which Im guessing could be had for between £60-100 tops and you have a better deal, its a good all in one kit as it stands though. Are there some Audi TTs out there then with no brakes as standard? ;)

£70 for 312mm discs and pads? Goodness. You got a link? :)

Steve's original source were TTs that were having Brembo kits fitted by dealers in Germany, before delivery to customers.

Steve

Cheers! I'll keep an eye out when I need new supplies then :)

Steve

What do you need on top of the discs and pads from that ebay link, callipers and carriers?

I was just about to buy that kit as well but if I could source the parts for cheaper i'd do that.

Yes calipers and carriers.

Where would you be able to but calipers and carriers?

New? Unknown but usually there are some vRS models breaking on ebay.

il have a gander on th bay then, cheers mate

I have just won some audi S3 calipers carriers and pads for 80 quid

just need discs now.

Thought they might be a scam but so far all seems legit

£50 postage is about £20 more than it costs me, however the all in price is fair. Bumping up pstage helps a little with the eBay fees ;)

Still always cheaper outside of the bay!
