Talking of clean cars.. the back of my red car is now entirely brown.. you can not tell that it was red at all.

It was polished by a dealer on Saturday morning as well :(

OT, but get a good coat or two of a wax like colinite 476s on it after the polish and the dirt won't stick anywhere near as well. At which point rain or a quick hose down should have it fairly clean again :)

Hi All,

I occasionally get lights flashed at me when people think I'm on full beam - I've set them to number 3 which is fine visibility wise- but when I have passengers in the back people start to flash their lights again & there is no further adjustment... is it worth adjusting them from under the bonnet - is that easy to do?

It's an 07 VRS & they are the original lights that it came with...

Also, the amount of light shining out from the side of passenger side headlight seems a bit unnecessary. Most of my driving is on country lanes and I seem to just be lighting up people's driveways and illuminating trees all of the time...

I miss my good headlights, the ones in my GPS pointed far too down until i manually adjusted them.

I also have the front fog lights wired up to come on with the main beam (like driving lights).

They aren't like driving lights (which throw out a pencil type beam) they are fog lights (which throw out a scattered beam) because they are for use in fog.

There is a good reason why what you have done is illegal, and I'm sure that if you ever drive in an area where traffic cops operate, they will be only too pleased to explain why you have broken the law and are getting a fine and points.

Try riding a motorbike in the rain to see what the effect is when some ****head with badly adjusted lights or unnecessary use of fog-lights comes the other way.

Still, like the other learner driver on this thread who thinks everyone who flashes him is in the wrong, as long as you are OK, sod every one else.

Another thing worth doing is to make sure the headlight glass is clean. Dirt and bugs can cause a surprising amount of scatter on some lights.

This makes a massive difference and you should clean them whenever you can.
