Who uses Millers in their 2.0 TDi?

Featured Replies

Might try it, but i fear the 'placeao effect'.

Miller's is the bee's knees

Placebo effect - try running it for a week or two on Millers - then go back to without for a week or two (to make sure there is none still in the tank, or what little there is is very diluted). You'll soon know it's no placebo.

Alway willing to give anything a try (within cost and reason :D)

I shall give it a try.

Considering the silly prices of the Premium fuels it's worth trying Millers as it works out much cheaper:

A bottle of Millers will do about 9 tanks at best. At an average of say £13 a bottle that means roughly £1.44 a fill up.

Around here BP Ultimate is about 7p a litre more so a typical 52 litre fill up means a difference of £3.64.

You don't need to be a genius to figure out the Millers is much better VFM than the premium fuels. This VFM is even better if you take advantage of the bulk buy/discount offers Bahnstormer has mentioned.

Question is, does the Millers give the same benefits as the BP Ultimate/Shell V-Power??

And.........

What are the implications of this stuff being found in your tank if say a PD injector unit failed? Would they really know it was there short of analysing the fuel?

And are there any documented cases of a warranty being void due to a fuel additive being found?

Right. Bought bottle of it.

Not ideal for pouring into car though. Fortunately I had a funnel in the car from when I topped up the screenwash.

Say you need to do about 250 miles before it really starts working.

Chris

Be careful if you spill any, if allowed to dry it becomes very sticky and is a pain to remove. Wipe it off paintwork immediately and give the black rubber fuel filler surround a wipe on occasions as it can get quite mucky.

Right. Update.

Been using this for about 500 miles now.

Says on the bottle 250 miles before anything will really happen. So I have been doing this based on the last 250.

Results.

Power. No idea. I don't have a dyno. Even if I did its academic as the difference this would make is less than the variations between dynos.

Response. Seems as good as before no real difference noticed.

Ecomomy. Very suprised to see about 2 mpg improvement over the same runs under similar conditions.

Overall.

I bought it to see if it would improve ecomomy. It 'seems' to have done that. Thumbs up so far. I will continue to monitor.
