AMD, Go or no go?

Featured Replies

Hi guys. Sorry if this has been answered before but I've been scanning the threads and cant find a straight answer...

Are AMD's re-map and service worth me parting with my 550 quid?

Am tempted as they are only 10 mins up the road from me and the website looks very pretty.

The time has come for my re-map and I want the best value for my heard earned so any input would be greatly appreciated

Cheers guys

Edited: moved to performance to get everyones attention. Wasn't really in the right place for peeps to answer.

Edit: Ta very much! SI

for starters mate that 550 is +vat, so it's more like 645 quid

quite a difference in price so i don't mind the drive from oxford to jabba for that saving

Si,

check out this thread.

Why not speak to Ross Clarke, the resident AmD employee about them. He may be on later

Thanks Skodi.

With prices that cheap I guess theres no competition really.

Put my name down for the next group re-map you can organise and i'll be there with bells on (or mabe some more practical attire)

Horses for courses I guess. AmD did my Octavia vRS 18 months and nearly 40000 miles ago, included a full Miltec exhaust system and new Dump Valve. I've been very pleased with the results, so what if it cost a few hundred quid more than Jabba. IMHO.

At the end of the day....if your pleased with the results that's all that matters.

Andrew you must be the first (and possibly only) person on Briskoda to have an AMD remap on an Octy - have you written a review?

PS if "only a few hundred more" is unimportant to you, I wish I had your money, mate!

well, its worth the money at AMD if its a custom remap with a good tuner who will look after your car.I am up there early June on a RR and then i will decide whther i will go for it

Nah....IIRC Lloyd (LLB) had the "big " turbo conversion as did Des, at one point. ;)

Leeboy also has the "big" turbo conversion.
