Adjusting Xenons with VAG-COM

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Does anyone know or have a guide on how to adjust the xenons with VAG-COM?

I did a search a while ago on here and gave my garage a guide to adjust them, but last night the xenons went to the origional setting and are far too low. After doing a search again I can't find the guide and on the Ross-tech site it only shows the adjustments using the screw.

As far as I can remember the guide I printed told me to go into the module 55 then showed an access code. Then there was an option on entering a value for the height or something. But I'm unable to find this :thumbdwn:

If anyone has the guide could they post on here please? I can't see more than 5 metres in front of my car

Thanks for that Stu, thats the one I found too. Is that the only way of adjusting the xenons, using the screw? Where is the screw lol?

Also, is there a way of adjusting the spread on either side, as I wouldn't mind focusing the lights towards the centre more to light up the road better.

To do that you really need to be on a beam pattern setter at a garage.

Ah ok thanks. I'll try looking for the adjuster screw after work and raise them up. Thanks!

their 2 screws on the top of the headlight. Think its the one closed the middle of the car that adjusts height.

Thanks dude, will have a go later tonight. Must admit, having them set to the legal limit was way too high for me. Didn't really light up the road very well but they did shine really far. Btw I need to use the PC this weekend or next. Its all yours after that!

Im off to check my beam level is correct in a minute with the vagcom as im getting rather peed off with people putting their lights onto full beam as they approch me cos they think im on full when im in fact on dip :( im still not convinced with xenons, drove a passat the other day with normal headlights and was more impressed with it to the skodas xenons.

I've been driving a Golf GT and a Leon both with standard lights and they are no where near as good as my Xenons.

we will have to compare heights stu at next meet as i swear there is a problem with mine, ive now got to drive with my hand covering full beam ready for people who blast me with their full beam thinking i have mine on full when they not.

Have you carried out a basic setting?

Best place to have them checked is an MOT station but you'll need to advise them that you'll need to use your VAG-COM to assist them if they want to adjust them.
