Hello from the DORSET Coast

Featured Replies

:D Hello there, I am new to the forum, I don't own a Skoda, but I am currently researching whether I should.

I currently have a Nissan Tino, which although it has nice power (Diesel 2.2 Dci) drives like a sponge. I am currently looking at the Octavia vRS Estate as a replacement, particulary due to the free upgrades on equipment they are offering at the mo.

I would be interested on all opinions, my main concern being whether the dog cage would fit in the boot!!!

Mike.

If you're still wondering come early Feb, I recommend coming down to watch the JKM rolling road day in Portsmouth. ;) Should make your mind up. There will be some vRS there - maybe a vRS TDI 170 as well.

Hello and welcome :orb_wave:

Welcome - Where on the Dorset coast are you? I tend to frequent the area at times.

Hi VRStu, thanks for the reply, currently in the Dorchester/Weymouth area, lots of nice roads around here for a sporty car...!

I know it well.

My sister lives in Dorchester, parents on the island.

So, VRStu, you seem to be the man in the know about the vRS, what are the benefits? I obviously don't want to rush into this, but there is a darn good deal available at the mo on equipment upgrade.

I would want the estate, although I need to go and see one quite soon.

Yes you need to have placed an order before 31st Dec to get the freebies.

What else do you want to know?

Bit of a trip to a dealers for you - Loders?

Not to bad, there is a Westover, just outside Poole. In Portsmouth on business tomorrow, so may pop in on the way back, depends on time. Sods law says they won't have one to look at though....

As for what to know, its difficult to pin-point, clearly from everyone here, this is a well built motor now, and despite the allure of the petrol engine, I would probably swing more to the diesel.

I am curious what the Maxi Dot thing is all about?
