Hello skoda land, My name is Andy and I currently own a civic type r. I have throughly enjoyed the car but am looking to go diesel in the new year. It was a toss up between the fabia and ibiza cupra but after reading as much info as my tiny brain can absorb I have pretty much made my mind up to go for the fabia...

I have been reading lots of useful info on your site which I would like to say thankyou for, it's a great source of information..

I hope to be able to get some answers to a few questions I have, so see you around...:thumbup:

I had the Ibiza PD130 TDI (But it was modded to 200 :rofl: )

The Cupra TDi 160 is a nice bit of kit but then the Fabia VRs is also nice.

I guess you need to drive them both and make your mind up from there :thumbup:

TBH they both appeal to me, and I certainly will test them both...leaning towards the fabia at the moment.

TBH I think the Fabia has a little better build quality than the Ibiza ;)

My old Ibiza had a good few rattles and squeaks,along with the windscreen & lights which always steamed up :mad:

thats one of the comments I have been picking up on alot, and coming form a civic type r it would be nice to have a smoother comfier ride. The ibiza would have to be alot better performer for me tbh. Standard vs standard there doesn't seem to be much in it, I think the fabia would suit me alot better. I have had a look at one at the dealers and will arrange a test drive after christmas. I am starting a new job in february with alot more miles involved so it would be nice to have the car sorted by then.
